- How did you get involved with Attra?
This is when I was Attra’s client working for General Electric and Westpac.
- Tell me about some of the people you have met while working?
The Niche and specialized market I have been working on in my role for past 10+ years has been extremely pleasing to see that payment community is not only very strong but extremely small and close knit.
This means we get to work with people on client and vendor side who know each other through a common connection or may have worked together. This helps vendor and customer to build trust quickly.
- What might someone be surprised to know about you?
Hard question but I would like to think most people know me. WYSWYG at least that is my view, LOL
- How would you describe yourself, choose 3 words?
Cheerful, Passionate, Logical
- What do you like to do in your free time?
Spend time with family, Play sports, Read or watch business news.
- What are your thoughts about NASSCOM?
This will be my first real interaction with NASSCOM. NASSCOM potentially brings lot of value but most importantly brings people in our industry together for the benefit of overall community.
- What is your role at Attra?
VP – Head of Business APAC. In my role I run the P&L for the APAC region with clear focus on expanding our footprints in this region.
- What are the places you have visited and what are the places you would like to visit?
I have mostly lived in Australia and New Zealand and travelled south East Asia. I would like to explore Europe, China and US in the short to medium term.
- Any random facts you would like to share with us?
I was a good basketball shooter in school days and repressed and played inter school competitions. I may have been one of the shortest basketballer around to play well.
- What did you want to do as a kid, or what did you want to become when u grew up?
I grew up in a family business of Jewellers so invariably I was involved and tagged to work in the family business in my childhood.
Back in old days when our just jewellery it involved lending money or do many banking functions what that banks do today.
After my schooling my uncle and grandfather ran the jewellery business, it was more than Sydney took me under his guidance and mentored me and I ended up in banking and finance industry.
Finance innovation and success in last 15-20 years have been driven on the back of IT innovations so hence invariably I ended up in IT industry.
- A movie based on your life is being made, what would the title be?
- So you have a motto or mantra?
Work hard and party harder.
- What is the one thing that you would save, if your house was burning down?
Phone and wallet
- Tell us a little bit about your family
I have a wife and two young girls aged 12 and 10. Monika my wife is a financial planner by profession.
- One superpower you wish you had.
- Favorite: Sport, Movie and book?
- Cricket but fast changing to AFL now. I never thought I would say that in my life time.

I have many in Sydney when I used to live there many years ago. I am now based in Melbourne and I would say Spice Temple.
- How would you define leadership?
Leadership is all about understanding individuals you are dealing with. Most importantly you need to follow by example what you preach.
- If you were on a deserted island, what are the 3 things you would want with you?

Attitude, Passion and integrity
- How would you define success? And how do you measure up to your own definition?
Success to me has no definition. The success is self-measured and one should be satisfied that they have done their best in life in whatever

Attra has been awarded Skoch Achiever Platinum Award. Attra was one of seven MSMEs selected from around 1000 MSMEs across India for Skoch Achiever Platinum Award. The Skoch Achiever Award recognises and honours outstanding SMEs to promote enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Coveted for their independence and exceptional research, Skoch Award is distinctive for its approach in selection of awardees. The Skoch Award is known to follow the most rigorous process of selection. Nominations found to be complete in all respects are put through secondary research by the Awards Secretariat. These are then recommended to the Awards Committee for further evaluation. Only those approved by the Awards Committee are invited to make a presentation to the jury, which evaluates each project on its merits of "what changed" with absolute scores - without making comparisons of any sort. While jury marks each of these projects, even the peer group of the nominees is invited to evaluate each project and mark these accordingly.
The top-scoring projects make it to the Skoch Order-of-Merit. A shortlist of awardees is drawn from the Order-of-Merit recipients who are invited to receive the Skoch Achiever Award. The top performing among those receive the Skoch Achiever Platinum Award.

Prasad Guntupalli, CEO & Co-Founder, Attra has been conferred the prestigious "Indian Achiever's Award for Information & Technology" by the Indian Organization for Commerce & Industry (I.O.C.I). The award was presented for Prasad's contribution in the field of Information & Technology and was honoured a grand ceremony held at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, India on Wednesday 31st October, 2012. The Award was presented to Mr. Anirudh Kulkarni, Sr. Vice President & Head of Delivery Attra, who received the award on behalf of Mr. Guntupalli.

He has been instrumental in turning Attra an Australia based niche consulting company into a global IT services company today.
